Culina Group, a well-established leader in the logistics market is currently looking to recruit a Shift Engineer, to assist the Engineering Manager to ensure the factory requirements are met in line with the business requirements at our IPS Dudley site. Job Description Shift: Any 5 in 7 days 6-2 and 2-10 rotating shifts. The Role: Adhere to health and safety regulations To fault find on all machinery. Set up machinery depending on the planned production. To carry out reactive and planned maintenance. To carry out electrical and mechanical modifications Provide suggestions for improvements and ideas to reduce breakdown and/or time to repair Main Duties & Responsibilities Specific tasks include (please note that this list is not exhaustive): Ensure Risk assessments and method statements are compliant with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and company procedures e.g. contractor control, isolation and lock off Ensure the maintenance procedures, engineering standards / specifications are adhered to when carrying out any work in the factory Assist the Production Team, providing clear, concise direction to the team where required to help maximise employee contribution e.g. Continuous Improvement and ensure delivery of the maintenance plan as agreed with the Engineering Manager Lead the Engineering function in correct utilisation of the company's CMMS Assist the Production Team to use appropriate tools, techniques and resources to ensure all production requirements are met, on time and within budget Carry out the role of the Storeman/Planner to become fully conversant with all plant & machinery on site Maintain suitable Engineering spares system to cover all site Assist the Engineering Manager to identify/plan own and team's development Assist the Engineering Manager with all installations, commissioning and facility upgrades prior to season start. Assist the sites Shift managers on engineering related issues to validate interventions and decision making capability on technical issues. Qualifications Ideally Electrically biased, time served Engineer with good mechanical skills Knowledge of buildings and Services Maintenance Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings At least three years' experience of Engineering within a food production environment Continuous improvement tools and techniques TPM methodology awareness Predictive maintenance techniques Planning & coordination People management & Mentoring Continuous improvement Customer Focus Experience with flow wrappers, baggers, counters, L sealers, Multi head weighers, check weighers and coders (Desirable) Additional Information In return for your passion, hard work and determination we offer: competitive holidays, Life Assurance, pension scheme, health cash plans, retail discounts and MANY MORE!
