JOB SUMMARY

As an Engineer (DC Inventory & Asset Technician) , you will be responsible for supporting datacentre inventory, asset tracking, logistics, and materials movement. You will ensure accurate documentation, equipment handling, and compliance with operational procedures in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate within strict procedural and service-level requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in IT support or monitoring preferred (Fresh graduates with a strong work ethic are welcome).
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment, with or without assisted tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in team environments.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) to liaise with regional/global teams.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technical procedures.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and shift-based operations.
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware and asset management processes.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify datacentre inventory against control standards.
  • Handle movement of IT equipment using tools such as pallet jacks or assisted lifting devices.
  • Operate within a ticketing system to manage daily tasks and issues.
  • Carry out secure destruction of data-bearing devices (e.g., HDDs, SSDs).
  • Manage logistics functions such as shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking.
  • Support shift-based tactical operations including ticket prioritization, escalations handling, and issue resolution in alignment with internal standards and SLAs.
  • Be prepared to work outside standard business hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
