Position Summary: JMT's Trenton, NJ Underwater Inspection team is seeking an Engineer Diver to be responsible for completing dives for underwater inspections. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Compensation for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Check diving equipment to ensure it is functioning properly prior to dives * Use diving equipment to complete underwater dives * Review and interpret plans and design drawings * Complete underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures to ensure compliance to plans and codes * Record all inspection data and assists in the completion of inspection reports * Field work required, which could be performed during nights and weekends * Report any medical problems or symptoms experienced during or after the dive * Report any equipment issues, other potential hazards, near misses or accidents * Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety * Team-oriented individual committed to achieving group goals Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities * Perform other related engineering duties
