The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme’s history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or similar Tertiary Qualification related to the development of infrastructure projects.
  • White Card

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other similar project works is preferred
  • Experience of E&M system works of major infra project preferable Hydropower, renewable energy project.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The purpose of the E&M Planning and Monitoring Engineer is to support project teams deliver projects on schedule through the development of project plans and schedules, facilitating their implementation, monitoring their progress and delivery, and reporting on progress.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor detailed programmes in P6 and other software.
  • Ensure accurate and timely progress of works at site is uploaded in FGJV systems.
  • Collaborate in the continual development and update of internal and contractual programmes in P6 including dates, progress, resources.
  • Compile, analyse and process 6 Week Look Ahead, 90 Day Look Ahead and similar schedules.
  • Prepare Weekly Dashboards.
  • Develop forecasts and modelling of what-if scenarios.
  • Participate and contribute to the LEAN planning process.
  • Collaborate in the development of time impact analysis / Delay analysis.
  • Provide support to reporting team by updating the required documents when requested.
  • Develop progress reports showing actual against planned.
  • Interface the schedule with the project budget.
  • Perform coordination activities required for planning, works follow up and monitoring, and reporting.
  • Adhere to FGJV values, vision and mission.
  • Provide proactive advice and opinions to support project success.
  • Comply with Future Generation Joint Venture policies and procedures as amended from time to time
