ABOUT YOU:

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer who transforms challenges into solutions. With your solid project experience, detailed technical knowledge, and superb team spirit, you’ll handle complex issues in a fast-paced environment. SAP and Microsoft Project experience is a bonus!

  • An Electrical Engineer with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A dynamic team player who can also work independently.
  • A safety-conscious professional with a strong ethical compass.
  • Proficient in project management (highly desirable).
  • An exceptional communicator.
  • Lead capital projects through all phases - from concept and design to installation and completion.
  • Maintain budget and schedule control.
  • Perform engineering calculations, design evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • Proficient in PTW and PowerCAD for electrical design calculations, protection coordination, earthing, and arc flash analysis (highly desirable).
  • Expertise in instrumentation and controls, including the programming and configuration of Allen Bradley PLCs, Yokogawa DCS, and OT networks (highly desirable).
  • Hands-on experience with high-voltage motors, starters, and protection relays (highly desirable).
  • Skilled in creating and reviewing electrical designs and drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Liaise with external suppliers for compliance with site and statutory standards.
  • Build strong relationships with end users to deliver effective engineering solutions.
  • Conduct and document safety inspections and audits.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As our Electrical Engineer, you’re the powerhouse driving electrical capital project activities from inception to execution. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll join a high-performing, tight-knit team that’s as dynamic as the work you’ll do.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Designing and managing brownfield projects, aligning your work with Glencore MIM and Australian standards
  • Providing precise project reporting on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define the scope of works and plan resources effectively.
  • Offering technical support to our asset management, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Guiding and mentoring the next generation of electrical engineers.
