Vacancy - Engineer - Electrical   Are you excited by the opportunity to build upon your skills and experience working with a range of equipment, including state of the art Ship to Shore Container Cranes?  Do you want to work for one of the UKs leading Port Operators, in a role in which you will receive full comprehensive training? We are seeking an experienced Electrician to work at our Greenock site and be part of a team which keeps the world moving!  This role will be working a four on four off shift pattern, 12 hour shifts.  Your Role   As an Electrician, you join the Clydeport Engineering Department, based at the Greenock Ocean Terminal, to safely and effectively complete planned and reactive maintenance work, ensuring all electrical equipment is compliant with current standards and legislation, with zero defects to maximise customer satisfaction.  You will work towards appointed authorised person for HV and LV systems as per the Peel Ports Electrical Safety Management Systems   You will use fault finding diagnostic equipment to ensure the reactive maintenance impact is minimised as well as resolving unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets, proposing tactical solutions to ensure activities stay on schedule.  You will expand your skills to become multi skilled in mechanical and electrical engineering to contribute to the ongoing success of the team.  This role will be shift based.  What you'll bring   You’ll be a time served electrician, with experience of maintaining heavy plant and machinery and be used to working effectively in a critical and busy environment. Alongside this, you will also have:   Experience using fault finding diagnostic equipment, with strong fault finding skills.  Willing to work at heights, understand work systems and accident reporting with a commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.
