TRD is looking for a highly motivated Engineer to support our Engine Development Department.

Responsibilities
  • Run Non-Fired Test Cell (NFTC) Validation activities
  • Plan tests in agreement with Supervisor/manager of development group
  • Define testing specifications, build configurations, and ensure appropriate testing cycles are applied.
  • Responsible for tracking testing results and failure log
  • Assist/collaborate in allocating spring lots to development and production engines
  • Monitor valvetrain anomalies reports and NFTC related engine components faults
  • Maintain close communication with Material laboratory personnel to help with in anomalies reports understanding and resolutions
  • Participate into the hardware definition with design and simulation team
  • Engage in Supplier discussions and testing feedback
  • Conduct a bi-weekly spring allocation meeting
  • Perform thorough NFTC performance and durability testing to evaluate development items, which includes test methods, data analysis, and detailed reporting in a timely fashion.
  • This will include end of day summaries of testing status as well as test results.
  • Monitors NFTC and engine calendar daily to stay abreast of upcoming assigned tests and schedules
  • Communicates test plan prior to test dates to allow Dyno / NFTC group to be prepared for efficient use of testing resources. Works closely with Dyno Group to coordinate dyno support and development test support when assigned to a particular test.
  • Expected to contribute to the Engine Management Development Team, focusing on Performance, Durability, Drivability, and Fuel economy. Work with other departments on development of new ideas, testing, and implementation.
