Description
Responsibilities
Manage safety procedures and develop/present training including fall protection, lockout tagout, electrical, and machine safety programs.
Implement and manage a contractor work permit system with the related departments
Support site staff in developing safety-aligned work plans for complex tasks involving employees and contractors.
Lead, train and develop the on-site emergency response team.
Assist with the maintenance of the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system to exceed regulatory, corporate and industry requirement (ISO14001/ISO45001). Coordinate related internal audits and inspections and annual risk assessments.
Perform periodic evaluations/audits of the site and safety programs to ensure compliance with safety plans, policies and regulatory requirements.
Support the investigation of the root cause of safety-related events and ensure the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
Present technical information to the management team.
Be a key partner in a positive, proactive, and integrated EHS culture
