Job Description Key Responsibilities Develop and execute commodity strategies for mechanical parts (plastics, metals, rubber) aligned with business goals. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and supply continuity. Lead price negotiations, cost analysis, and value engineering initiatives to achieve cost savings. Manage supplier contracts, including terms, conditions, and performance metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Operations) to support new product development and localization efforts. Monitor market trends, raw material pricing (especially plastic resin), and supply chain risks. Drive supplier relationship management and continuous improvement programs. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements. Support RFQ/RFI processes, supplier audits, and performance reviews. Qualifications Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in mechanical commodities. Strong knowledge of plastic materials and resin types is a plus. Proven experience in supplier scouting, negotiation, and contract management. Familiarity with cost breakdown analysis, manufacturing processes, and global sourcing. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
