POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is responsible for the effective execution of all engineering activities related to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of jet engines. This includes providing technical services, engineering solutions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the aviation industry in an engineering or technical program management role.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience with CFM56 engine maintenance in an airline, MRO, leasing company, or OEM is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word) and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools.
  • Communication Skills: Superior analytical, quantitative, and communication skills in English (French is a plus).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Workscope Management: Oversee work instructions, configuration management, and deviation approvals.
  • Module Monitoring: Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to monitor module completion status.
  • Maintenance Planning: Review and document shop visit findings to optimize future maintenance planning.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all FTAI modules and materials meet strict KPIs and high-quality standards.
  • Scrap Material Review: Identify opportunities for repair development and salvage through scrap material reviews.
  • Engine Test Support: Assist with engine test cell operations and engine acceptance procedures, including after hours and weekends.
  • Technical Inquiry Response: Respond promptly to technical inquiries from customers, shop personnel, and FTAI management.
