The Opportunity Are you looking for a rewarding new role in the sunny top of the South? We are seeking an experienced, versatile engineer to join our hard-working Workshop team in Nelson. This is a hands-on, mobile position with a broad scope – work on a variety of vehicles and equipment, both in our Workshop and out in the field at our Quarries and other sites. We are offering a competitive remuneration package for the right person. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, both on-site and at our various Quarry locations. Collaborate closely with our Quarry and Contracting teams to deliver reliable, professional engineering support. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently. Build strong working relationships across departments. About You: Trade qualified with proven engineering experience (preferably in automotive, heavy machinery, and/or quarry equipment) Strong competency in MIG and ARC welding processes with the ability to pass certification testing for MIG in all positions. - TIG welding ability advantageous Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Enjoy working in a dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team Comfortable working at heights or confined space Be familiar with technology, specifically Outlook software and use of an iPad At least 4 years’ experience as a workshop engineer or similar, including welding experience Current NZ Driving Licence – Class 1 essential – Classes 2-5, WTR & F (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided) Have an unwavering commitment towards living safely Be a reliable individual with a strong work ethic Excellent time management skills We’re all about Good Work You’ve probably seen us around - on the roads, building sites, and in cities, towns, and locations all over New Zealand.
