Description
Working Location: Tuen Mun Applications are invited for the above vacancy in Black Point Power Station. Reporting to the Resources Planning Manager, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties: - Compile station performance statistics, creation of management reports/dashboards and issue regular reports to relevant parties. Implement proactive monitoring programs for critical plant equipment using PI, EtaPro system, or other analytic applications to support reliability centered maintenance, and enhance station reliability and productivity. Provide technical operation and maintenance recommendations to optimize generation efficiency, reliability, station productivity, and environmental performance. Formulate plans for station manpower and resources. Prepare maintenance work plans and coordinate the outage activities. Manage and direct pre-outage planning, schedule development and work activities for all scheduled outages with multi-disciplinary workforces and contractors to ensure that company business needs, statutory requirements, safety, health and environmental standards are met while achieving optimum level of reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness. Conduct regular post-outage review to capture the lessons learnt and recommend changes in outage management processes with best practices, as well as innovative ideas for continuous improvement. Provide quality plans for works conducted during planned outage to ensure quality standards are met upon works completion. Coordinate with contractors’ representatives to ensure adequate and competent contractor manpower is allocated to support the O&M activities in power station. Monitor maintenance performance of contractor work teams in terms of safety, productivity, quality and cost to drive for resources optimization. Implement initiatives and projects for uplifting station operation and maintenance effectiveness. Requirements: A recognized university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, plus at least 3 years' relevant experience. Familiarize with safety rules, engineering standards, codes of practice, and the relevant statutory regulations. Self-motivated, good team player, analytical and able to work under pressure and tight schedule. Strong sense of responsibility with good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge in AI application and data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI), Internet of things (IOT), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and programming (e.g. VBA) is an advantage. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage. Good knowledge of generation plant and contractor management is preferable. Candidates with less working experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Engineer.
