Job Description Summary - Perform Basic Design & calculations, Prepare P&IDs, specification for Generator auxiliaries systems. - Checking & release of final manufacturing & arrangement drawings including BoM received from Product definition or Suppliers Job Description Job Title & Purpose Name/Job Title: Engineer – Generator Auxiliaries Design Position in the Organization Organization Structure: Working inside CoE Large Generators Organizational Reporting: Sub CoE leader Network & Links: CoE team, Product definition, System integrators, Suppliers Mission Responsibilities - To understand the specification of the project, product, customer requirement, Generator operating parameters and operating sequences of Hydro power plant - Perform Basic Design and calculations for Generator auxiliary systems such as Braking, Lifting, Thrust bearing oil injection, Oil mist exhaust, Brake dust exhaust, Carbon dust exhaust, Fire fighting system, Air-water Coolers, Oil-water coolers for bearings, their piping’s layout. - Coordinate and manage interface of Aux. system with Generator and other surrounding assemblies. - Prepare technical specifications and drawings specifying design requirements - Manage and execute work-packages with Product definition team - Working with suppliers for defining, improving or cost out during design phase - Support to Supply chain during execution phase Accountabilities Execute with required Quality, within budget and lead times specified Measurement On time delivery, Quality, Cost (components, engg hours) Candidate Requirements Educational Requirements: B. E. (Mechanical) Knowledge / Experience - At least 2 years in design of Auxiliary systems for Hydro Generator. Total experience desired > 3 years - Experienced in understanding engineering requirements of Hydro Generator assemblies. - Good understanding of Aux. system and components. - Applied knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engg, Piping & fittings standards, Heat exchangers - Experienced in preparing design specifications for components mentioned in ‘responsibilities’ - Experienced in Design & Engineering Processes - Good level in ‘MS Office” Application - User Level SAP System, PLM (CORELLA) - Experienced in CAD tools preferably AUTOCAD and UG NX Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies - Communication, Inter-personal relationship - Pro-active & responsiveness Leadership Behaviors To continuously manage and develop people To care for people Teamwork and accountability Communication / Transparency Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes Addressing the climate crisis is an urgent global priority and we take our responsibility seriously.
