Description
To carry out Asset Inspection activities along the dedicated Section of the North South Expressway based on Master Inspection Program (MIP) and managing the Asset Inspection data for technical evaluation and reporting to ensure high quality of works and/or product being delivered to the Client thus contributing to a very good reputation and success of the department as well. Responsibilities: Undertake periodical asset inspection (bridge, drainage and slopes) along the North South Expressways within assigned section area based on Master Inspection Program and/or as requested by Region Manager. Assist Region Engineer to prepare detailed weekly inspection programme, carry out on-foot inspection according to inspection programme, prepare inspection report and defects list and update assets inspection status. Monitoring and managing of the implementation and documentation of work order including of supervision and site coordination in ensuring works carried out in accordance with the design, technical, specifications, quality, timelines and contractual requirements. Conduct pre commencement meeting, review and approved works program and method statement prior commencement of works, verify testing results, conduct final joint inspection and issue certificate of practical completion from the joint inspection, review and verify statement final account within 14 days after receiving for Project Director’s approval. Assist Region Engineer to carry out site assessments, monitor and produce report regarding Defect assessment, Third-party and Higher Authorities when required. Attend the Emergency Event and carry out assessment for the preparation of Emergency Event Report within the stipulated timeframe. Responding to client, authority and relevant parties’ requirement and undertake specific assignment from Region Manager as and when required. Notify Client on routine maintenance works based on observation during inspection activities. To ensure compliance to the QSHE requirements target and objective, ensuring that the tasks are undertaken to appropriate standards, including quality, safety, health, environment and service requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering) or Bachelor's Degree in Geology or equivalent. Working experience : 2-3 years in the road infrastructure or any related field.
Responsibilities
The engineer will conduct periodic asset inspections along the North South Expressway and manage inspection data for technical evaluation and reporting. They will also assist in preparing inspection programs, monitoring work orders, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
