Job Description We are seeking a talented and innovative Engineer - Highways to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge highway projects in one of the world's most rapidly evolving urban landscapes. Develop and review highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various projects Utilize advanced engineering software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to create detailed designs and 3D models Conduct feasibility studies and traffic impact assessments for proposed highway projects Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses related to highway geometry, drainage, and pavement design Ensure compliance with local and international highway design standards and regulations Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable transportation infrastructure Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender documents for new projects Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in highway engineering and implement best practices Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on highway engineering Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in highway design and engineering Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software Strong knowledge of highway engineering principles, including geometric design, pavement design, and drainage systems Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes Experience with traffic modeling and analysis software In-depth understanding of local UAE highway design standards and regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent work Innovative mindset with a passion for developing sustainable transportation solutions Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers) Valid UAE driving license (preferred) Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
