Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.com [http://www.lgenergymi.com/]   Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the parent company’s cell team to actively support on-site sample production, validation, and customer communications for Li-ion batteries under development for automotive applications. * Work with process/production engineers at the manufacturing plant to support activities related to engineering changes or issue resolution.  * Analyze defects of batteries to identify root cause and report preparation/risk assessment/work plan from a design perspective. * Work with the various functional teams such as BMS (battery management system), Pack and Validation team, and provide cell-related data and/or expertise. * Procure, set up and maintain cell test equipment and perform non-routine cell-level tests to analyze the performance and reliability of cells. * Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards: * Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain * Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container * Perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications/Experience: * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience * 1 to 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment through an internship, co-op, entry-level job role, or similar  * Prior experience in research and development/production of Lithium-Ion battery technologies is highly preferred   Skills * MS Office, Minitab, Origin * Hands-on training in battery materials synthesis, cell fabrication, characterization and analysis is preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experience with battery modeling and simulation is preferred   Benefits Overview * 100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums for you and your family * 100% employer-paid disability and life insurance * Employer-supported childcare/babysitting programs * Generous Paid Time Off / Holidays * Opportunity to grow in a diverse work environment with a global company * 401k Retirement savings and planning with a generous company match   LGESMI is an Equal Opportunity employer that values the diversity of its workforce.
