Your role at Baxter: You, as Engineer I, EHS, will support supervisors by providing tools and advice to meet environmental, health, and safety goals. This position requires a multifaceted person who can connect with people. It also needs a broad understanding of industrial processes and the requirements and regulations related to ecological preservation, health, and workplace safety. This person must be able to work under pressure and perform tasks with interdisciplinary teams. What you'll be doing: Promote compliance with quality requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Promote and participate in ICare's initiatives: if you see something, do something. Respond to and resolve in a timely manner the problems that may affect the quality, safety or efficiency of the product or the regulatory consistency of the process. Continuously seek regulatory completion in your process. Stay aligned with EHS rules and procedures. Ensure the people in your charge follow them. Provide crucial training spaces for EHS issues. At the same time, promote the culture of safety, and ensure compliance with all the guidelines that the organization settles vital to align with the applicable legal and/or corporate requirements of its area passionate about protecting safety, its own health and that of its personnel in charge, and the environment. Build, coordinate and implement the company's Ergonomics program. Build, coordinate and implement the company's Environmental program (Management of waste, wastewater, air emissions, drinking water, identification and evaluation of environmental aspects, assessment of relevant regulations, training, among others) Build, coordinate and implement the company's Industrial Hygiene program (Hearing Conservation Program, Respiratory Protection Program, Radio-frequencies, Lighting, Chemical and Biological Agents, Ionizing and Non-Ionizing Radiation, control of the calibration of industrial hygiene measurement instruments, assessment of the relevance of rules, informative sessions, among others) Support the supervisor of Environmental Stewardship, Health, and Occupational Safety in coordinating and carrying out the various areas of the plant. Support corporate and divisional initiatives in Environmental Protection, Health Programs, and Job Safety. Follow-up on tasks related to the chemical regency regarding plant operations (Precursor license process, report on consumption and purchases of precursors, follow-up on chemical regency observations, among others). What You'll Bring ! Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, or equivalent experience, or higher education in related areas. Experience in related fields of 1 years minimum. Sophisticated English, bilingual desirable. Certification in ISO 14001:2014, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001 standards (desirable). Internal Auditor Certificate (desirable). Responsibilities
The Engineer I, EHS will support supervisors by implementing and coordinating environmental, health, and safety programs, including ergonomics and industrial hygiene. They are responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, managing waste and emissions, and promoting a culture of safety across the facility.
