POSITION SUMMARY • The Jr. Thermal Engineer supports new product development and product sustaining tasks. The Jr. Thermal Engineer provides direct daily support to engineering groups by focusing on Thermal design, Testing and simulation. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assists with creation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings and sales literature. • Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements back to group. • Supports analysis through mathematical modeling, HVAC software, and simulation for New Product Development. • Working with contract resources and/or manufacturers for prototype/production builds . • Works closely with technicians and other engineers, providing technical support and guidance to thermal problems. • Collaborates with other groups, including Electrical, Mechanical, Control engineers, System test, customer support, and manufacturing. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor of Science in Thermal, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. • 1-2 Years of engineering on DX and CW Refrigeration system development/Design. • Comprehensive understanding of the Refrigeration system. • Experience with mechanical and Thermal design concepts. • Basic mechanical CAD software experience with Creo preferred or any other. • Experience with thermal Design software such as Refprop, Coildesigner or equivalent analysis package desired. • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically. • Planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills. • Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams. • Fluency in English.
