About the role: Support the design, development and test of embedded software (firmware) for both implantable and external neuromodulation devices. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test firmware for implantable neural stimulators and handheld remote-control devices. Participate in the development of specifications, architecture, designs, schedules & test plans related to product development activities & product upgrades. Use standard design processes to support product development & improve productivity. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree Computer/Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field. No previous experience required Professional and/or academic experience with C/C++ programming languages. Scripting languages, PHP and/or Python is a plus. Knowledge in firmware for a variety of 8,16,32-bit processors and microcontrollers in C/C++ and assembly language is a plus.
