Description

Engineer I – Field Service (Projects) Location & Role * Location: Ahmedabad, India | Full-Time (On-site & Office) | Service Operations Experience * 6 - 8 years of experience or fresh graduate with exposure to HVAC/piping systems * Basic exposure to chilled water systems, plumbing, pumps, and thermal systems * Basic understanding of HVAC accessories and control systems Job Summary * Support design, execution, and commissioning of liquid cooling systems for data centres while developing technical expertise Key Responsibilities Project Delivery * Support execution of liquid cooling projects under guidance of senior engineers * Participate in project meetings and assist in documentation * Coordinate with cross-functional teams for site execution activities * Assist in tracking project timelines and deliverables * Support HVAC chilled water, plumbing, and fire line piping execution Testing & Validation * Assist in testing and commissioning of cooling systems * Support data collection and basic analysis during validation * Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards Service & Operations * Apply basic knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics * Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities * Assist in implementation of service bulletins * Maintain documentation, reports, and site records Preferred Criteria * Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field * Basic knowledge of HVAC and piping systems * Exposure to AutoCAD/Revit (preferred) * Good communication skills and willingness to learn * Basic problem-solving ability and teamwork skills The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
