The Engineer I executes engineering tasks within allocated systems design in compliance with schedule and budget specifications. The Engineer I ensures integration of the systems into the ship and performance of the systems from concept design efforts through to delivery.

• Execute allocated systems design in compliance with schedule and budget specifications.
• Ensure full and functional integration of the systems into the ship and validate the systems’ spatial integration into the model with all system data current and accurate.
• Support the rapid and agile concept development process to ensure the output is a healthy concept design sufficient for the next phases of the shipbuilding process.
• Ensure functional performance of the system from installation through to the test, sell-off, and delivery of the ship.
• Conduct material definition of assigned system and configuration of the material baseline through functional and production baseline.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of other engineering disciplines, customer representatives, and external suppliers.
• Ensure quality of design products and compliance to specifications.
• Follow discipline-specific standards.
