ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as NDE Engineer with major EPC contractor in Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Must have ASNT or PCN Level III in RT, UT, MT. PT, VT
  • Must have PCN Level III in PAUT and/or ToFD
  • Must have CSWIP - RTFI Level II (Film Interpretation)
  • CSWIP/ PCN Certification in Welding Inspection (Preferable)
  • Knowledge in Developing Technique, Procedure and Validation of the procedures for various NDT Methods including PAUT and ToFD.
  • Must have knowledge in relevant International Standards e.g. ASME, API, Code Cases, British Standards.
Responsibilities
  • Relevant discipline specific duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Prepares / reviews NDE related procedures (both conventional and Advanced NDE techniques) required during the Construction phase.
  • Review and approve the Subcontractors NDE related deliverables.
  • Timely NDE inspection during fabrication and construction.
  • Carry out inspection of work in progress including checking if the right procedure is followed for the NDE process.
  • Monitor performance of NDE sub-contractors, ensure personnel are qualified and competent to perform allocated tasks, have valid certification, where required, for the NDE techniques in use.
  • Review NDE reports including RT, UT, MT, PT, PAUT, ToFD to ensure its compliance with requirements.
  • Performing Radiographic Film Interpretation. .
  • Prepare/review daily NDE reports.
  • Monitor NDE backlogs and take appropriate action for clearing it.
  • Coordinates and records regular quality meetings with NDE Sub-Contractors & Client
  • Organize / Conduct internal audits which includes preparation audit plan, Audit report coordination with Auditee.
  • Supports Site QC Manager and Project team in resolving NDE related technical issues.
