Description
Policies, Processes & Procedures Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a productive work environment. Implement and uphold safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of all employees and company assets. Progress Monitoring, Delay Analysis & Control Update project schedules with actual start/finish dates, percent complete, and achieved quantities. Monitor critical and near-critical paths to assess schedule health and identify risks. Compare planned vs. actual progress using S-curves, resource histograms, and Schedule Performance Index (SPI). Prepare weekly and monthly lookahead schedules to support execution planning. Track delays and propose recovery actions in coordination with the project team. Maintain a detailed delay log documenting events, root causes, and impacts. Perform delay impact analysis using methods such as TIA, windows analysis, and impacted-as-planned. Support the Contracts Department in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) and prolongation cost claims. Document all delay-related events to ensure traceability and claim readiness. Coordination, Communication & Reporting Coordinate with the Site Team to collect actual progress, productivity data, and lookahead execution quantities. Track engineering submittals, design approvals, and shop drawings in coordination with the Technical Office. Monitor material deliveries and supplier commitments with the Procurement team. Align planning activities with inspections, permits, and quality milestones alongside HSE and QA/QC teams. Provide regular updates to the Project Director, Planning Department, and ePMO. Submit weekly and monthly planning reports summarizing schedule status and progress. Report on critical path progress, milestone achievement, and key risks. Maintain risk and issue logs to support proactive planning. Support management with dashboards and executive summaries, including Power BI outputs where applicable. Project Scheduling & Baseline Development Review contract documents, project scope, and BOQ to identify planning and scheduling requirements. Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with company and project standards. Prepare baseline schedules in Primavera P6 and submit for client approval. Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction activities into a unified project schedule. Define project milestones and ensure alignment with contractual dates and deliverables. Link BOQ items to schedule activities for accurate progress and productivity tracking. Resource Management & Team Support Track planned vs. actual manpower and equipment utilization. Monitor productivity rates against project baselines and industry benchmarks. Identify deviations in resource usage or productivity and recommend corrective actions. Guide junior and mid-level planners in schedule preparation, updates, and reporting processes. Miscellaneous Duties Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives. Qualification Bachelor’s Degree Category Civil Engineering or related filed Other Requirements Strong command of Primavera P6. Excellent knowledge of project control techniques (EVM, critical path method). Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI is a must. PMP or equivalent certification is a must. SP or equivalent certification is a plus. Familiarity with Saudi or GCC contracting practices is a plus. Years of Experience 10+ Years of experience with at least 3 years in a senior planning role in construction/infrastructure projects.
