The Engineer I, Software is an entry-level professional who participates in creating and extending Omnicell products. This person is a software developer who can apply best practices to produce quality applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science or a related field to maintain our OmniCenter Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the reliability of our software solutions.   Responsibilities:  * Work as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software * Participate in discussions and estimations required for product release planning * Collaborate with a team of software engineers in all phases of software development * Assist with code reviews for fellow team members, as required * Create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle * Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs * Work with Technical support teams to troubleshoot and resolve 4th level escalations in a timely and professional manner.   Required Knowledge and Skills * Basic understanding of software development principles (OOAD, OOP) * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Good interpersonal communication skills   Basic Requirements:  * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or other Science/Engineering field Preferred Knowledge and Skills: * Candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro * Entry level experience in the following: * C# and the .NET Framework/.NET Core * JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, React, jQuery) * SQL Server and T-SQL * Microservices * Candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro * Healthcare Industry Experience  * Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle management Since 1992, Omnicell has been committed to transforming pharmacy care through outcomes-centric innovation designed to optimize clinical and business outcomes across all settings of care.
