RK&K is hiring a Traffic Engineer to join our highly successful transportation group in Washington D.C. As a Traffic Engineer with RK&K you will support public and private agencies on design and engineering programs throughout our portfolio. This role will support our efforts in Temporary Traffic Control and Maintenance of Traffic for construction.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Zero (0) to Six (6) years of progressive experience in traffic engineering
• Exceptional writing, verbal communication and presentation skills including public speaking
• Experience with Highway Safety Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and AASHTO guidelines
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Internship experience focused in transportation design preferred
