JOB SUMMARY:

This Associate Product Design Engineer is a member of the Airside Engineering team and will work to develop design and solutions of Airside Products (Air Handlers, Terminal Products and VAV boxes) to support complex customer and business needs. In this role you will lead projects to solve customer needs through key component selection, mechanical design, testing and manufacturing integration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline) is required.
Responsibilities
  • Management of line extension and value-add value engineer projects to deliver results on time within budget.
  • Assist with key component (e.g. fans, coils) selection and design from concept through validation including design analysis and performance calculations, detail drawings and bills of materials.
  • Assist with facilitation of design reviews, execute testing validation plans, and use virtual tools to predict fan performance for commercial air handlers.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, operations and other engineering teams to determine optimal solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical engineering documentation for customers and future engineering projects.
  • Some overnight travel required, approximately 5%.
