Description
Overview Overview Connecting clients to markets, and talent for opportunity. With 4,300 employees and over 400,000 retail and institutional clients from more than 80 offices across five continents, we are a Fortune 100, Nasdaq listed provider connecting clients to global markets. We focus on innovation, human connection, and deliver world class products and services to all types of investors. As a Software Engineer on the Containers team, you’ll build, run, and continuously improve our Kubernetes platform, the foundation for application delivery. You’ll work hands-on with cluster operations, networking, ingress, storage, and core platform services, partnering closely with development, security, and operations teams to support day-to-day platform needs and drive automation through infrastructure as code and CI/CD. Using cloud-native and open-source tools, you’ll help keep the platform scalable, reliable, and secure while improving performance and developer experience so teams can ship faster and with confidence. This is a highly hands-on role where your work directly shapes developer experience and platform reliability, enabling teams across the company to ship faster, safer, and at scale. Responsibilities Responsibilities Operate and maintain Kubernetes platforms (Rancher/RKE2 or AKS), including upgrades, scaling, performance tuning, backups, and HA patterns. Contribute to automation and golden paths by enhancing Terraform modules, Helm/Kustomize templates, GitHub Actions workflows, and self-service onboarding. Implement and support GitOps workflows with Argo CD, including safe deployments, rollbacks, and drift detection. Assist with container supply chain and registry management (ACR), including immutability and vulnerability scanning. Help maintain platform observability (Datadog/Prometheus, Graylog/Splunk) through dashboards, alerts, and basic SLOs. Partner with development and infrastructure teams for onboarding, troubleshooting, documentation, and incident response; participate in an on-call rotation. Follow established security and compliance guardrails (RBAC, secrets management, change controls). Qualifications Qualifications: To land this role you will need: 3+ years in Platform, SRE, or DevOps roles with hands-on production Kubernetes experience. Experience with GitOps and modern CI/CD tooling (e.g., Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), packaging (Helm/Kustomize), and Linux/networking fundamentals. Scripting experience (Bash and/or Python) and comfort with YAML-driven workflows. Experience troubleshooting distributed systems using logs, metrics, and traces. What makes you stand out: Deep experience with Rancher/RKE2 or AKS in production environments. Policy-as-code leadership (Kyverno/Gatekeeper), supply chain security (cosign, SBOMs). ACR governance, artifact promotion strategies, and hardened self-hosted runners. Experience designing or operating SOX/SOC-aligned CI/CD controls and evidence pipelines. Education / Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Preferred certifications: Terraform Associate, Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD Commitment to continual professional and technical development Working environment: Hybrid, four days in the office. Occasional Travel Requirements, for team collaboration meetings and conferences
