$3,847.73 to $4,232.50 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, drafting reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned projects for the Public Works Department.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field five (5) years of professional experience in transportation engineering, which includes two (2) years of post-registration experience; Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer in traffic operations, planning and development, or a closely related field, which includes one (1) year of post-registration experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess an active license as a Professional Engineer (PE), registered in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statute 471, and maintain said license in an active status during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
