Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a civil engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types. The position would offer the opportunity to work on varied types of projects, including municipal, utility healthcare, affordable housing, educational facilities, housing developments, and much more.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum
  • Proficiency with Civil3D
  • Has passed FE Examination
  • 2-5 years’ experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Intern experience.
  • Knowledge or proficiency with StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn.
  • Knowledge of building and material design codes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of time
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills
  • Construction field experience
  • Can manage small projects through design
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
Responsibilities
  • Use of computer design and graphics software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate work of other disciplines
  • Completes design calculations for project components
  • Studies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Perform reference research
  • Prepares details
  • Prepares and writes reports
  • Calculates and checks dimensions
  • Provides field observation, review of shop drawings and product submittals during construction
  • Work overtime when necessary.
