JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction (electrical works) .
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems in building and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and QS/estimation software (e.g., CostX, Cubit, AutoCAD for measurement is a plus).
  • Familiar with local construction contracts (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC) and tendering procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED BUT NOT MANDATORY)

  • Experience in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM measurement tools.
  • Certification in cost control or contract management.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for electrical works in construction projects.
  • Evaluate electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs for electrical systems including cabling, wiring, panels, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Manage procurement processes, including requesting quotations, evaluating suppliers, and preparing cost comparisons.
  • Administer subcontracts, including measurement, valuation, and preparation of interim/final payment certificates.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and variations, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
  • Assist in risk analysis, forecasting, and cash flow preparation.
  • Support the project team in contract compliance and resolving any contractual disputes.
