Overview We are seeking an Engineer Intern with 2-5 years of professional experience to be part of our Transportation Roadway Division in our Raleigh, NC office. In this position, you will assist in the development of transportation design projects for clients such as state, county and municipal transportation agencies. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment where projects may be derived from a number of delivery methods including conventional Bid-Build and Design-Build projects. Generate construction plans using Bently OpenRoads Perform construction quantity estimates Cross-train in other transportation disciplines, including drainage, signing and pavement marking, and maintenance of traffic Develop plans, calculations and specifications among multi-discipline engineering teams Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam – EI registration a strong plus Experience with Microstation/GEOPAK Experience with Bentley OpenRoads a plus Familiarity with NCDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards a plus Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and work on large multi-discipline engineering teams Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
