Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) has an opening for an Engineering Intern at the Palmyra, Missouri, location. Northeast Power is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa. This is a paid summer internship starting in May 2026 and ending in August 2026. The standard work schedule follows a 4-day, 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday. Some flexibility in workdays and hours may be required based on project needs and assignments. What You Will Do: This internship provides hands-on experience supporting engineering projects in a transmission utility environment. The intern will assist engineering staff with design, analysis and project documentation while gaining exposure to transmission systems and operations. Key responsibilities include: · Assist with engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation. · Support project analysis, field inspections and data collection. · Collaborate with staff to maintain system diagrams, GIS records and project documentation. · Support compliance, safety and general engineering tasks as assigned. What We Are Looking For: We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual with an interest in electrical, civil or power systems engineering. In addition, we are looking for: · Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. · Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. · Effective written and verbal communication skills. · Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
