JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES This role requires a versatile and skilled engineer to provide critical support to the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) program. The position involves managing technical requirements, developing test plans, and creating engineering software tools to advance modeling and simulation capabilities. The ideal candidate will integrate seamlessly with ongoing test and training activities. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct engineering support to manage existing and future modeling and simulation (M&S) Technical Requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain engineering software tools using Python or C++ to support system analysis and operations. Support test planning working groups, technical design reviews, and other related testing activities. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Demonstrated experience in software development with Python or C++. * Strong communication, and analytical skills with a proven ability to work in a technical team environment. * Experience in developing and managing technical plans or requirements. * Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. * Experience with the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). * Knowledge of 5th Gen aircraft systems (e.g., F-22, F-35). * Prior experience in a modeling and simulation environment. * Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis principles. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE The incumbent must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 8 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 6 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited doctoral degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of related engineering experience. The incumbent must have comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering to provide consultative services on development programs and in the design and development of systems and components. The position requires knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area. The incumbent must have excellent communication and analytical skills and must possess effective planning/organizing skills. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools. The incumbent must possess well-developed leadership skills and have the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad prospective. The incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $125,000 to 150,000 annually.
