We look forward to meeting you.   The Role Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations. This position is intended for the Fire Safety group in Test Engineering Department E25. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the lead Fire Safety Officer in the management of the 8010 Fire Safety Organization in support of CVN 75 RCOH. This position regularly communicates with Construction Project, SUPSHIPNN, Ship's Force, Engineering and Trades via email, phone, and in person meetings and utilizes Microsoft tools. Must Have Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification or Trade REC Coordinator (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification and 4 years of relevant professional/exempt experience. Nice to Have 8010 Fire Safety Preferred Qualifications 1.    Knowledge and understanding of 8010 Industrial Fire Safety Manual for Fire Prevention and Response. 2.    Aircraft carrier ship system knowledge and ship system interrelationship understanding.  3.    Ability to effectively communicate orally with both internal and external customers to include: Project Construction Management, Trades, Test Engineering, Engineering, SUPSHIPNN, and Ship’s Force. 4.    Above average writing skills in support of preparation of Fire Safety procedures and processes.   Why HII We build the world’s most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
