YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field with at least 1 year of experience
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Competent in using a variety of gauging techniques and measuring equipment, including optical comparators and form-measuring tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Experienced in quality systems and tools, with working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments
  • Adept in problem-solving and root cause analysis using techniques like 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa
  • Familiar with QM SAP transactions and AIAG manuals, such as PPAP, APQP, QSA, MSA, SPC, and FMEA
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
Responsibilities
  • Assist in resolving customer issues by supporting containment measures, leading problem-solving teams, conducting analysis on defects, managing product measurement, gauge setup, and reviewing records.
  • Provide guidance to operators on metrology, charting, record-keeping, and handling non-conforming material.
  • Assist with setting up floor and laboratory gauges, overseeing drawing releases in SAP, and making decisions on first piece reports.
  • Coordinate Measurement System Analysis (MSA), conduct machine acceptance, process capability, and run-at-rate studies, and educate others.
  • Perform process audits and layered process audits (LPA), including corrective action verifications, assist in internal and external audits.
  • Prepare and approve quality PPAP documentation.
  • Manage the disposition of suspect parts, update systems, and handle special deviations in SAP.
  • Conduct layout inspections for launches, create, update, and release failure catalogues, control plans, and Procella.
  • Issue and manage quality alerts in the system, participate in PFMEA and DFMEA meetings, verify machine gauge calibration.
  • Implement internal projects for cost or scrap reduction while maintaining adherence to internal standards, instructions, and procedures.
  • Follow Fit for Quality guidelines, maintaining an organized and clean workspace.
