Primary Fluid Systems Inc. is an essential, small business located in Mount Hope, Ontario. We manufacture and sell metering pump accessories for use in the water & wastewater treatment industries, as well as oil & gas. Having been in business for over thirty years and with a reputation for selling quality products, we have a consistent customer base world-wide.
We are currently hiring for the Engineer / Manufacturing R&D Position. Responsibilities include the generation and maintenance of shop/production drawings using programs such as AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and V-Carve for CNC & 3D printing use, as well as a consulting role during the development of plastic injection moulds. The Engineer / Manufacturing R&D position will also produce small scale or prototype parts using equipment such as a manual lathe (wood & metal), ultrasonic welder, mill machine, drill press, 3D printer, and CNC router.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years experience in a related field, displays attention to detail, enjoys problem solving, and likes hands-on work. Experience with designing components and assemblies using AutoDesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD software), and AutoCAD, is essential. Plastic injection moulding or machine shop experience would be very beneficial. Experience operating the equipment mentioned above is welcome, though mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn is key.
A post-secondary diploma or degree in engineering-related or technical design studies (ex. mechanical engineering, tool design engineering, manufacturing engineering, etc.) is required.
