KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse and Assess Specifications: Review and evaluate technical requirements for piping systems, ensuring integration aligns with project needs, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Engineering Package Development: Set up and model basic engineering packages for piping systems in a 3D environment, adhering to Damen Naval engineering standards and regulations.
  • Detailed Engineering and Production Support: Develop detailed engineering packages and production information based on the basic design, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Update engineering packages as needed, providing technical advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Interaction: Engage with various disciplines to ensure that piping solutions are optimized for the overall project.
  • Project Design Reviews: Identify potential issues, suggest improvements, and contribute to design reviews to ensure project success.
  • Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure all designs meet applicable requirements and contribute to the ongoing development and retention of knowledge within the department.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Relevant technical Bachelor or Master degree combined with at three years relevant experience in piping systems engineering, ideally gained within shipbuilding or offshore installations.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with hands-on experience in modelling and designing complex piping systems.
  • Experience in working on high-end vessels, managing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with statutory bodies and regulations.
  • Good command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
