We have two positions open on our engineering team and we’re looking for someone to bring us new ideas to add value for our customers and industry. Summary/Objective The mission of the Engineering Team is to ensure that the products we make are safe, meet all specified material properties, are correctly designed / specified, and when needed repaired. The Engineer - Market owns the relationship between PWT Engineering, our distribution partners, the specification industry, and builders. The focus is on collecting and sharing market information with the rest of the Engineering team and company. This position works closely with the PWT Sales Team, Distributors, Dealers, and Specifiers to understand the applications EWP products are used in by territory and region. Specifically, how EWP products are specified and used in residential, commercial, and industrial markets. They will share that information with the Business and Engineering team to ensure that PWT products meet market expectations and are supported by the PWT Technical Literature and Design Software. Location  Remote- US The employee must live in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Conneticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington Reports to Director of Engineering Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. * Maintain relationships with the technical staff atall ourdistribution partners. * Collectand share market knowledgerelated toengineeredwoodproducts, applications,and specifications. * Respond to designquestions. * Develop engineeredsolutions tocomplex design conditions. * Meet or exceed the Engineering Service Level Agreement (SLA). Competencies * Develop andmaintainworking relationshipswith both PWTstaff and our customers * Ability to synthesizecomplex technical topics for non-Engineers * Customer focusedproblemsolving * Structural Engineering Principals * Mechanicsof Materials * Codes and Standards knowledge * Attention to Detail * Time Management  Supervisory Responsibilities  None Work Environment  Office setting Physical Demands  Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.  Travel Requirements  Person must be able to travel throughout the US and Canada as needed. Required Education and Experience * Bachelorsin engineering. * Licensed Professional Engineer * Light frame construction experience * Experience in design of EWP products (I-Joist, LVL, LSL, PSL, GLB)desirable. * Knowledge of current codes is critical.
