Area of responsibility could include, but not limited to instrumentation and control, bearings, throttle valves, steam turbines, electrical generators, AC-to-DC rectification, and the integration of all components into a fully functional system. Candidate will lead review efforts to ensure that technical deliverables meet programmatic goals and baseline requirements. Candidate will also mentor junior engineering staff to develop a knowledgeable team.Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 4 years of experience. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
