THE OPPORTUNITY We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing operation in New Iberia, LA. The role of the Engineer Mechanical is to provide mechanical engineering support for the sales and project management teams. Provide technical guidance to support a team selling environment. Daily interface with customers and staff to ensure project schedules and performance objectives are met safely and on schedule. Responsible for designing and evaluating electrical systems associated with the Divisions portfolio of products. YOUR CONTRIBUTION Work with a team to incorporate customer specifications and prepare detailed design packages and shop fabrication drawings for equipment skids, enclosures, and other structures to comply with Marine, Industrial and Petroleum industry standards. Complete assigned mechanical and structural designs and 3D models in inventor and AutoCAD timely to support our manufacturing activities, conforming to standards, and meeting customer requirements Assist in development of bill of materials for budgets, estimating labor, and material costs for projects related to division sales activities Inspect completed projects to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards as well as taking final measurements to develop as-built drawings.
