Engineer Mechanical (SolidWorks) Job Descriptions: Vertiv’s Core Engineering organization is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join the Global Design team to work on Mechanical design of Busbar products using SolidWorks environments. Candidate should understand complete product and work on managing multiple configurations using SolidWorks. Candidate responsible for creating and managing Standard parts and components and support senior engineer to maintain Library parts. Candidate should Work on design and developments of part/assembly & Provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures. This job requires effective communication with multiple internal and external personals. It will also focus on our digital platforms, mainly Oracle PDM & PLM which aid in the execution of our business. Job Specifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of experience in MCAD design using SolidWorks. Must have good working experience in 3D modelling and detailing work on SolidWorks with experience on generating Standard components, Customer facing drawings. Must have good working experience with configurations of assembly variants in SolidWorks. Experience on Handling Standard parts in SolidWorks Library and standard part setup is added advantage. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of CO/ECN process. Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD cloud will be added advantage. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication process will be an added advantage. Experience on Design of Switch gear/Busbar assemblies is added advantage. Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SOLIDWORKS and managing modifications as required. Quick learner and result oriented by providing quality deliverables Ability to analyse the root causes to drive for better changes. Execute and coordinate multiple activities independently and with the offshore team. Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively.
