The ICE Mortgage Technology Network Engineer leverages a deep understanding of network design, strong network analytical and troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication skills to deliver robust network solutions. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the highest degree of professionalism. Responsibilities Support and maintain multi-vendor production network environments critical to the business Plan and execute network and firewall requests in accordance with security policies Support team with problem solving and escalation procedures Understand and follow operational policies/procedures and promote adherence to same Provide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructure Document new and existing workflows to ensure accuracy of work and maintain existing standards Collaborate and work closely with Datacenter Engineering/Operations, Network Operations, Cybersecurity, and Systems Engineering teams Knowledge and Experience B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of relevant experience including design, deployment, and support for large scale networks Knowledge and use of two or more of the following network platforms/operating systems: Junos, IOS/NX-OS, EOS, F5, Check Point, and Palo Alto Experience planning and implementing policy changes on Check Point, Palo Alto, HPE Juniper, or similar stateful packet inspection firewalls Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite; NAT; IPSEC VPN; and static, OSPF, and BGP routing policies Practical packet capture analysis skills Use of scripting/coding tools like Python and Ansible for network automation Experience with IT service management systems such as ServiceNow Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple requests
