OE Field Engineer Job Description

  • Evaluate Technical Source Data and publications from OEMs/Airworthiness Authorities for Continuing Airworthiness.
  • Evaluate changes in aircraft maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Assist in aircraft incident investigation.
  • Perform Engineering assessments and studies on aircraft systems.
  • Prepare and present Aircraft Systems Modifications and Maintenance Reviews to airworthiness authority.
  • Monitor aircraft systems reliability and design engineering and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct quarterly and yearly reliability meeting with Customer.
  • Evaluate Engineering Assistance Request Note (EARN) and provide engineering disposition and recommendations.
  • Generate aircraft weight and balance reports.
  • Liaise with aircraft and systems OEMs to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide ad-hoc engineering assistance to resolve technical issues arising from daily aircraft operations.
  • Able to work in military bases

Qualification

  • Degree in Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field. Applicants with relevant work experience will also be considered.

Relevant Experience

Experiences in the following areas would be considered/ preferred:

  • Military aircraft systems knowledge.
  • Familiar with airworthiness processes.
  • Familiar with military flight operations and aircraft maintenance.
  • Familiar with electrical / electronic principles.
  • Familiar with avionic or aerospace system operations.

Soft Skills & Attributes

The following soft skills & attributes are desired:

  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-active and dynamic, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to perform after-office-hours standby to support operations on a rotational basis or as and when required.
