Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Planning to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of construction projects, working collaboratively with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality results.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera
  • Review and analyze procurement and construction programs for contractors and subcontractors
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports, graphs, and critical path analyses for weekly and monthly reporting
  • Monitor actual progress against construction programs and report deviations to senior management
  • Assist in identifying project risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
  • Collaborate closely with site supervision teams to gather real-time progress updates
  • Conduct independent site visits to evaluate contractor progress against established programs
  • Support the evaluation of potential additional works and variation proposals
  • Maintain detailed records of program monitoring to support claim evaluations and dispute resolutions
  • Assist in workshops and meetings to facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in roads construction or related works
  • Proficiency in Primavera or similar project management software
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in scheduling and reporting
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience in the Middle East construction industry preferred
  • Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and standards is a plus
  • Willingness to conduct regular site visits and work in a dynamic project environment
