Contract Period: Permanent / 2-year Contract Applications are invited for the above vacancy in the Customer Supplies & Services Branch of North Region. Reporting to Senior Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties: Vet schematic diagrams and inspect customer’s electrical installations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations Coordinate work planning and programming, management control for installation and commissioning of metering projects including EV Charger applications, Feed-in Tariff (FiT) applications and Renewable Energy projects, as well as contractor management Conduct testing and commissioning for installation and metering systems Handle customer enquiries related to meter and electricity consumption and installation Inspection Plan and control project activities, including materials and resources utilization to ensure that the related costs are within budget Monitor performance and progress to ensure that work plans are completed according to schedule and in compliance with relevant specifications, procedures and standards Provide technical support and allocate resources on metering operations Monitor and report the performance of metering operations in depot Develop and implement control procedures and practices on project management, metering operations and contractor performance in accordance with the Company’s management systems of health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) Organize and review tendering documents, contract terms & specifications and implement the procurement and contracting management of services and equipment Provide trainings to colleagues and contractors Perform standby duty after normal office hours and during adverse weather condition / typhoon period, and carry out emergency repairs / shift duties as and when required Lead by example in assisting the department in implementing safety initiatives aiming to promote safety culture Carry out other duties including participating in safety promotion activities, driving, record updating, reporting writing and any other duties assigned by supervisors Requirements: A recognized university degree in Electrical / Building Services Engineering or equivalent At least three years’ relevant experience in design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical and relevant systems Possession of suitable qualification and experience leading to Grade B/C Certificate Holder of Registered Electrical Worker (REW) issued by HKSAR Possession of a valid Driving License (class 1, 2) is preferred Proven knowledge in electrical installation, metering technologies and electricity market environment Conversant with Electricity Ordinance, COP for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations Familiar with CLP Power Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules, engineering standards and codes of practice / management systems, occupational health and environment related legislations Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills, customer-oriented, self-motivated, good team player, able to supervise a team of supporting staff Good knowledge of functionalities of PC application e.g. Power BI, MS PowerPoint, Power Automate, MS Excel Able to work under pressure and tight schedule, and also work independently Proficient in English and Chinese, both verbal and written, Putonghua preferred Be mindful and has good safety awareness and track record Candidates with less qualification and/or experience but demonstrate good potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
