Description
      Job Name: Engineer       Department: Process Engineering              Roles and Responsibilities:  Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Handle all activities related to blade manufacturing processes, including new tool, jig, and mold installation and commissioning. Develop and implement process control strategies and standard operating procedures. Prepare annual and monthly maintenance plans for moulds, equipment and tooling. Collaborate closely with Process, Production, Planning, and Maintenance teams for mold maintenance and rectification activities. Define tooling requirements, validate tools, and coordinate handover to Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams. Monitor production metrics and troubleshoot process-related issues. Prepare and analyze monthly maintenance costs and implement actions to reduce expenses. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Lead tooling design reviews and support the development of new tooling for blade manufacturing. Analyze tooling performance and implement improvements to enhance durability, cycle time, and ergonomics. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen Coordinate with suppliers for tooling procurement, refurbishment, and upgrades. Develop solutions to improve efficiency and minimize waste. Maintain documentation for tooling specifications, maintenance records, and change management. Support New Product Development by designing and validating tooling for new blade models. Apply systematic problem-solving techniques to identify root causes of tooling failures and production inefficiencies. Support equipment selection, installation, and commissioning. Document process changes and maintain technical records.        Experience: Over 7 years of experience in the blade manufacturing industry and Minimum 5 years of experience in the process engineering department. Strong knowledge of glass fabric and process materials, including cutting and kitting, prefab, shell, finishing, tooling and material handling. Hands-on experience in change management and tooling processes. Proficient in lean manufacturing tools and methodologies. Skilled in problem-solving tools and their practical application. Knowledge required: Lean manufacturing Change management Risk assessment PPAP, BOM New material homologation process VDA6.3, QMS..etc Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in process simulation and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen Plus). Knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, and quality control. Familiarity with statistical analysis and root cause analysis techniques.
