Join our dynamic, collaborative team as a Projects and Assets Engineer, where your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the future of critical civil and stormwater infrastructure in planning, design and implementation in an environment that supports your abilities and career development. Reporting to the Coordinator Technical Services the Projects and Assets Engineer is responsible for the planning and design of civil, lighting and stormwater assets, and ensuring council’s strategic targets are met. Position Description - Engineer Project and Assets Key aspects of this role include: Provide a high level of customer service to members of the public that interact with Council in relation to civil, stormwater and lighting issues. Provide technical engineering guidance and aid civil operations staff in coordinating complex maintenance problems. Carry out investigations and provide technical and engineering solutions, which include preparing reports for stakeholders, including Council / Committees. On-going review and management of the Asset Management Plan for stormwater assets, including preparation of annual programs based on asset management principles. Provide expert advice to Council Elected Members, community members, government agencies and various customers or stakeholders on matters relating to civil and stormwater planning at all scales. Ensure that planning for the City is undertaken in the context of larger scale planning occurring at a regional, state or federal level. Provide expert advice and guidance to Council’s City Development team relating to technical engineering requirements ensuring compliance with legislations, Council policy and industry best practice. Undertake assessments of engineering plans from developers of a technical nature, providing expert advice and facilitating best practice development. Develop relevant policies and procedures in relation to civil infrastructure assets and regularly review technical engineering drawings, specifications and standards. About you The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's degree or diploma of Civil Engineering, or in a related discipline Current Class C Drivers Licence Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) / Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM) Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check Apply today!
