JOB BRIEF:

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the quality assurance process for complex, integrated software systems. You will play a key role in understanding business requirements, deriving test scenarios from high-level designs, and ensuring end-to-end functionality across multiple systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and analyze business requirements and solution designs to identify gaps and derive meaningful test scenarios.
• Design and execute end-to-end functional test cases across multiple integrated systems and platforms.
• Validate system interactions, data integrity, and process outcomes from both technical and business perspectives.
• Collaborate with Analysts and Developers to ensure test coverage and business alignment.
• Lead test planning, including estimation, coverage analysis, and risk assessment.
• Report and manage defects through to resolution using tools like JIRA.
• Support post-release validation and regression testing.
• Contribute to test automation efforts and develop reusable scripts where applicable.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in test planning/management.
• Proven experience with functional testing of integrated systems (e.g., across APIs, services, or modules).
• Ability to design test scenarios and test data independently based on business and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, REST-assured) and scripting basics.
• Exposure to technical testing (e.g., performance, high availability, security) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and defect management processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
