About the Role As our Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining a resilient, cost-effective, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure. This position will drive our insourcing strategy, strengthen internal capabilities, and support future cloud initiatives. Responsibilities include: Azure: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure for optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Platform Development: Collaborate on new features and infrastructure improvements. Enhance platform capabilities for self-service, automation, and standardization. Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-related issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions. Manage incident processes and communicate with stakeholders. Documentation: Develop and maintain platform documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible. Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimize platform performance and scalability. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements. About you: Proven hands-on experience across core Azure services, with the ability to design, build and support enterprise-grade solutions. In-depth knowledge of Azure networking services including Front Door, Application Gateway (WAF), Traffic Manager, Load Balancers, VNets, and Private Endpoints. Experience with Azure App Services, Function Apps, API Management, and related PaaS offerings. Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights for proactive performance monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and networking security controls (firewalls, NSGs). Expertise in IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automating software delivery processes Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell) to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and share knowledge with team members.
