* Engineering Supervisor DoubleTree by Hilton – Downtown South Bend Full-Time | Competitive Pay Based on Experience JOIN OUR TEAM DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown South Bend is seeking an experienced and hands-on Engineering Supervisor to help lead our Engineering Department. Our recently renovated 293-room full-service hotel features over 15,000 square feet of meeting space, multiple food & beverage outlets, an indoor pool, and a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, solving problems, and ensuring our hotel remains safe, efficient, and well-maintained. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Supervise and support the daily operations of the Engineering team. * Assign work orders, prioritize projects, and ensure timely completion. * Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems. * Respond to guest maintenance requests with urgency and professionalism. * Assist the Chief Engineer with scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and departmental organization. * Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, OSHA regulations, life safety requirements, and company policies. * Train, coach, and develop Engineering team members. * Maintain accurate maintenance records and preventive maintenance logs. * Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as needed. QUALIFICATIONS * Previous hotel engineering experience required. * Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. * Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. * EPA Certification preferred. * Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills. * Excellent communication and leadership abilities. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in mechanical spaces. * Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
